Ruth loved gardens.  It is only fitting that as a memorial to Ruth and Juliana and all the victims from the area we have chosen to create a garden in their memory.

Entrance to Ruth's Irish Secret Garden

During the Hurricane of '38 a portion of their house was washed away. What remains today is the foundation, inside of which Ruth created a wondrous Secret Garden to celebrate her Irish Heritage.

Pergola

A beautiful pergola stands inside the Irish Secret Garden.

Fountain

No garden would be complete without the sound of water.

Wisteria Covered Arch

A picturesque wisteria covered arch stands at the entrance to the harmonious organic children's herb and vegetable garden, complete with potting shed that Ruth and her mother, Paula Clifford Scott, created for Juliana.  Surrounded by a white picket fence it  would make even Mr. McGreggor envious.   Plans call the recreation of this wonderful Children's Garden.
